Stanley Meyer's water-powered car works by using a process called electrolysis to separate water into its component elements, hydrogen and oxygen. This is achieved by passing an electric current through the water, which causes the water molecules to break apart. The hydrogen gas is then used as fuel to power the car's engine, with the only byproduct being oxygen. This process is considered a form of alternative energy, as it harnesses the power of water to produce a clean and renewable source of fuel for the vehicle. **
