5.2.2010. At
In the late 2009 and early 2010, the Ruthenians held a series
of online conferences in order to consolidate and involve the
Ruthenian public in a joint nation building.
According
to him, in blogs and social networks where online conferences
are broadcast, take part several thousands
of people, mainly inhabitants of Subcarpathian Rus, as
well as representatives of the Ruthenian Diaspora in the USA,
Slovakia,
Serbia and Australia.
According to Peter Gecko, an absolute majority
of conference participants agreed on the fact that "a gross violation of fundamental rights of the Ruthenian people by Ukraine, ignoring
of acts of anti-Semitism, xenophobia, Ruthenophobia, inciting
ethnic hatred by the law enforcement bodies and the extreme right-wing
political parties and politicians, such as All-Ukrainian Union "Svoboda" of Oleg Tyahnybok, leaves absolutely no chance for the future of the Ruthenian
people as part of both, the unitary and federal or con-federal
Ukraine.
"Antagonism of the Ukrainian politicians,
the imposition to Ukrainian society of the view that Ruthenians
are Ukrainians, and all those who oppose this are separatists,
has laid a time bomb. The trial of the spiritual leader of the
Ruthenians Dymitry Sidor, and the relentless persecution and
discredit of the Ruthenian people and Ruthenian leaders, as well
as a stubborn refusal of the Ukrainian politicians to include
the "Territory of the Ruthenians to the south of the Carpathians" - former Transcarpathian region of the Ukrainian SSR - into the Ukrainian legal
framework , and to include the results of the Transcarpathian
Regional referendum of 1991 in the Ukrainian constitution, is
forcing Ruthenian people around the world to begin the process
of international recognition of the state of the Republic of
Subcarpathian Rus, which was restored in December 1, 2008 ", - said Peter Gecko.
"The Ruthenian Diaspora of the
USA and the EU clearly will be deeply involved in the process
of international recognition of the paternal state of the Ruthenians
of the world”, - said the Prime Minister of the Subcarpathian
Rus.- Ruthenians have tried all the possible peaceful legal
means, but Ukraine three times in the past two years tried to
unleash an armed conflict, involving a large number of Ukrainian
soldiers, military equipment, warming up the opinion in the Ukrainian
media that Ruthenians want Kosovo, Abkhazian, or Ossetian scenario
in the centre of Europe. However, Ruthenians do not want to,
and never wanted, any armed conflict in their territory. Ruthenians
do not want to see manifestations of acts of any ethnic phobias,
massively spread by the Ukrainian nationalists in the Ruthenian
land, whether Rutheno-, Magyar-, or any other phobia. Ruthenians
do not want anti-Semitism, which Ukrainian society and political
structures are trying to impose on Ruthenians for years. It is
not, and could never be ours.
