The cleric outlined recent statement of Anna Herman on "Channel 5" that "there are no cases of political persecution in Ukraine". According to him, the criminal case № 499 against him for the crime under Art. 110 of the Criminal Code - "Deliberate actions taken to change the territorial frontiers of Ukraine in violation of the order established by the Constitution of Ukraine ..."

Open since September 2009, the case № 499 was sent to Transcarpathian appellate court, which "still hesitates to reach a verdict, because my actions do not constitute an offense," assures Fr. The priest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church urges Anna Herman to assist the court "in the adoption of fair verdict in my case, which is being delayed for three years and keeps me, a missionary, under house arrest for the fourth year."
Archpriest Dymitry Sydor sent a copy of his address to deputies of the Transcarpathian Regional Council.
