In fact, Archpriest Dimitry Sidor is tried for Ruthenian (wider - Russian) identity and loyalty to the Russian Orthodox Church. Father Dimitry is a confessor. He is a missionary, who changed the course of history. When Uniates seized the Cathedral in Uzhgorod, he put in pledge his home and began building a grand Cathedral of Christ, which has now become a symbol of Uzhgorod and Subcarpathian Rus. If it were not for Father Dimitry, Uzhgorod would be a typical Uniate city. However, thanks to him Uzhhorod is one of the spiritual centres of the Russian Orthodox Church. There is every reason to believe that it is the main reason why they are trying to put Father Dimitry behind bars.

 We are convinced that those who today staged a trial of an Orthodox priest and educator should themselves be brought to justice. Government of Yushchenko is a criminal regime. An ideology of the followers of Bandera and Mazepa is a criminal ideology, built on the ravings of Nazi collaborators of the OUN-UPA. In the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory "Neo-Banderas", organize trials of the Orthodox priests.
