Your Holiness!
Bless to address you on the day of All Saints that brightened the Russian land, and bring to your Holiness our filial greetings on the feast, uniting all Russians in the Russian land, from the Carpathian Ruthenia in the heart of Europe to the Russian Alaska! Ancient Orthodox Ruthenian nation, being part of the Great Moravia and the Bulgarian Kingdom, was among the first to adopt the pure Eastern Orthodox faith, and the Slavic-Russian writing from the hands of Cyril and Methodius and their disciples. Thereafter Subcarpathian Ruthenians participated in the future baptism of the Russian land.

Since 1948, Subcarpathian Ruthenians seceded from the Serbian Church, and now they are true sons of the Russian Orthodox Church and of your Holiness!Despite of Millennial surrounding of foreign faith as a part of Hungary, Austria-Hungary and Czechoslovakia, Ruthenians preserved Orthodoxy and the ancient undivided [russkost], and understood the importance of the spiritual rebirth of Russian people today.
Proof of this is the feat of the decedent Metropolitan Lavr, Ruthenian national, for the reunification of the Russian Orthodox Church.
Rusyns of the Subcarpathian Ruthenia, now the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine, welcome and support the decisive steps of your Holiness for missionary revival of the Russian Church from Tisza to Alaska, which is vital today for our Russian civilization, Eastern Orthodox by its spirit and essence!
We are well aware of the dense schedule of your pastoral visit to Ukraine. However, we pray and dare to hope for the possibility of your Holiness’ visit of our Carpathian Ruthenia, which has preserved its canonical Orthodoxy.
Our people, loving the first prelate of the Russian Church, want to hear the preaching of the Patriarch Live Words in our newly built temples and churches, the squares of our cities and villages, to awaken people to the faith in God after dashing years of dreadful distemper, arranged by the rule of lunatics.
In anticipation of the anniversary of the notorious anti-Ruthenian Firlinger-Molotov agreement (of 29 June, 1945), we also express our strong opposition to the statements of those hodiernal madman who tried to disrupt and discredit the missionary work of your Holiness and the assistants; such outstanding Arch-pastors, as loved by the Ruthenians Bishop Illarion (Alfeev).
We, the Ruthenians, are just outraged that in Orthodox Russia there is still a «bunch» of people who are sour at Archbishop Illarion for his fair criticism of the acts of Stalin's regime in Subcarpathian Ruthenia, and ethnocide of its titular nation «Ruthenians», which in 1945 destroyed Ruthenian national statehood in favour of Ukrainian nationalism.
We firmly reject the attempts of those who dared to attack your Holiness, accusing of “Non-Orthodoxy” the First Prelate, who returned millions of Russian people to the spiritual life. In the attempt to stop your great missionary program of [votserkovleniya] (“churchment“) of our people, adherents of the world of evil seized finances and technologies from the “satanic depth “, and proved to be allies of local Rusinofobes and Russophobes in the destabilization of the Russian Orthodox Church..
We dare to assure Your Holiness that the Orthodox Subcarpathian Ruthenians are firmly behind the spiritual unity of Orthodox people and Russian lands, “given birth” to great host of the Cathedral of Carpathian Ruthenian Saints , and creating today faithful sons of the Church of Christ, entrusted to you, as the First Prelate of the Russian Orthodox Church!
We humbly ask your holy prayers for Carpathian-Russian God's people!
On behalf of the Cyril-Methodian Orthodox Ruthenians,
Dean of the Cathedral church in Uzhgorod
